Courtesy runner question
CRs drive me nuts from a game management standpoint mostly becauseI do a lot of community games. Nobody has the same rules as what's actually written in the governing body's rules, and the wording is always awkward - "last batted out" or "last completed at bat not on base" or "any bench player...- eddieq

Drop Dead question
Possibly. But then since we are talking about chaos - let the catcher chase her back. As soon as the catcher turns and starts to throw the ball back to the pitcher, take off again timing it so either it's right before the throw or while it's in flight. Interference on pop up
Different animal. Here, the runner interfered with F6 fielding a batted ground ball not catching a routine fly ball. Drop Dead question
Since this thread is still going - my favorite timed tournament I did was an October “awareness” one. They had a big air horn. Everyone started on the horn, and when the horn sounded again we were done. Pitch in flight? Oh well. Move on. Horn is gonna sound in 15 minutes for the next game start.- eddieq

You can. You’ll know it when you see it. I will always give benefit of doubt to the offended team. This is a rabbit warren of “what if” unfortunately. The rule says the interfering runner is out, everyone returns to the last base touched, if the interference prevented the catch, the batter...- eddieq

Not really. If the runner hadn’t interfered you’d likely only have the one out (barring some other base running mistake). The runner that interfered is out for the interference. Since that interference prevented the defense from legally catching a fly ball, you get that out as well by rule. Like...- eddieq

Drop Dead question
When I've umpired tournaments with "drop dead finish the batter", I always let the batter finish any apparent attempt to run bases, etc. and all playing action to be completed before I called the game. Barring any specific direction from the TD or UIC, that's how I would handle it. As noted...- eddieq

Dropped third strike play
