When the opposing coach after the game takes the time to tell you how impressed he was by both catchers (split 3/3), that he had his catcher sit next to him and point out all the little things they were doing - super proud. He said “it was like a clinic”.
That and DD was 3/3 with a triple, double, and bunt single (last summer/fall she led the team in hits, but every single one was a single. We had them write their goals down at team meeting in Feb, and she wrote “get 2 doubles to the outfield”. When we got home, she said, guess I need some new goals.
Just cool to see winter work pay off. (This was our first official tb game of the year).
Also, kinda proud that she helped me rake the crap outta the field to get it ready in this nasty New England weather...
