Actively flexing the wrist (“snapping” it) is not the same as keeping it loose..Try keeping your wrist stiff while throwing..see what happens.

I guess it depends which part of the throwing motion you're talking about. The wrist is clearly stiff at the point of release.

Flat (parallel to the forearm) and stiff are not the same thing. It is possible that a HL thrower unconsciously does stiffen their wrist at some point in the throwing motion but I have never actively thought about doing it

Where does the bat pivot around?

Is it at the bottom of the bottom hand (knob of the bat)?

Is it in between the top and bottom hand?

Is it above the top hand?

Sorry I can't definitively answer your question but I might be able to point you in the right direction. I once saw a graphic put out by a company that studied bat swing mechanics (maybe Zepp or Blast?) and I recall their research concluded the average point of rotation was about two inches off the centerline of the bat and about one inch below the knob. Or maybe it was vice-versa. It basically showed the rotation is centered on the wrists which is no surprise. Anyway, I'm sure you will find it if you google "bat pivot point" because that's how I originally found it.
