I can't believe that view either...What a disgrace! You'd figure they'd know how to correctly line a field!
That picture really brings back a lot of the feelings from my days of motorcycle racing. I have some fond memories of good battles, but one of my FAVORITE memories is from waking up at the track early morning. I'd work on Friday evening then drive through the night and show up at a track hours before the sun came up. It would be the middle of summer but night time would be low 70's. Get to the track but you can't get in yet, so you park outside, roll down the windows and curl up for a few hours of sleep. You'd wake up tired, but so excited for the day. That morning dew added a light "chill" to the feeling of excitement. Of all the things I remember, that emotional feeling in the morning is one of the best!!!
Yep and...I love the smell of pre-mix in the morning!!
I preferred straight VP U4. Best smelling cancer ever!!!![]()

I umpired a 12U tournament recently where the actual host team PLAYERS did the lining of the fields for the 8am games. No strings, no lines - the foul lines in the outfield looked like a DWI sobriety test. We did the best we could.
