Thought the size glove she uses was interesting and is related to this thread (and I didn't want to start a new one..)

Agree. We work a lot on getting the right foot set (or down) as the ball hits the glove. Young kids often wait to catch it first and then move their feet to throw.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're describing, that's too early. The ball should be hitting the glove just after the left foot hits the ground. Right, left, field, right, left, throw.

To the OP: Get some pancake gloves.

I am guessing he meant left foot, like you said.

I’m talking about double play turns or catch and throws - not ground balls. Get the footwork done before you catch and not after basically.
