Looks awesome to me. The next level would be encouraging a little more hip/shoulder separation, possibly a little more out of the drive, but I love what I see there.

What’s the thoughts on landing with a bent knee and not driving the body rearward. I have others doing the same thing within this style. It looks like a different way then FSR Slugger showed in the other thread.

I don’t know if this was 71, I did see a pic with a Pocket Radar where she hit 71.

Monica lands heel first. Personally I prefer a forefoot landing (or close to a flat foot) for the safety of the joints. A forefoot first landing implies a bent leg landing and then straightening stabilized by the muscles surrounding the joints.

Similar to how running with a heel strike has been poo-pooed by modern medicine in favor of a midfoot or forefoot strike for joint health. (https://www.healthline.com/health/heel-strikes-and-your-run) I personally don't like the risk for my students. Couldn't live with myself if I was teaching something that potentially led to knee surgery and a shutdown of their career later on. But Monica seems to have had a long and healthy career, so what do I know.

Happy to change my mind on this though if qualified research proves me wrong. I have a high performing student that I am having trouble getting to shake the heel strike and if I can feel good about letting her do it, I'll quit working to change her.

The science actually doesn't say that RFS is bad.

Here's a meta-study about it: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40279-019-01238-y
