At first watching him play I was thinking he was Armstrong. I’m so sick of spell check keeps changing my words. Armstrong was actually, Armsy And is what I actually typed. Although perhaps Armstrong can mean armsy.

Watching this HR on a pitch right down the middle (btw, that is the only swings Mankin studied, meat balls) I started to think there is more to his swing. I don’t think Mankin studied 78 mph breaking balls like this pitch.

My youngest son played against him in HS, and the TB circuit...Ty could always hit, and with power. While his style is similar to what he did back in HS, he seems to be a little more exaggerated with the hand and leg lift. He still did both back then (2011 & 2012), but much more toned down...I guessing because the pitching was not anything near to what he's facing now.

Its a little armsy. Loose, sloppy, disconnected then connected and then disconnected. I tried this type of swing with my DD trying to generate speed. Lasted about 5 minutes.

Lakewood CA.
If he keeps at it and tries really hard maybe he can make something of himself.
Hopefully he can get some decent coaching.
