Turn2 has had an extraordinary development program over the last few years. Along with our 18U gold, 16U and 12U, we are adding an 8u and 10u team. If you are interested in developing your skills and competing at the highest level available, Turn2 is the softball team for you. Come be a part of a great softball program!!!
How tryouts will work.
Each player will need to sign in and begin warm ups prior to the start of the tryout. Players will go through a series of hitting and fielding drills. Pitchers and catchers will be evaluated in the latter half of the tryout.
Offers will be made at the end of the tryout. If your player decides to accept an offer, a $200 *start up fee* is required before you leave the tryout. This is a one time fee. Returning players who make the team, will not be asked for another start up fee. Offered players who do not pay the fee will not have secured a spot which may be offered to another player.
Visit the website and complete the registration form under the TRYOUTS tab and arrive early at the tryout with the following items:
- copy of your birth certificate
- $200 start up fee is required of all *new* players.
- Bat, Glove, facemask and a great attitude!
Tun2 12u will enter it's fourth season under Coach Greg Smith, Gino Briones (former manager/ head coach of Spring Stampede '01) and Coach Joe Rutherford (manager of the 18u Gold Turn2 team). This 01 team has competed extremely well finishing 4th in the 2013 USSSA Texas State Tournament and was the last true '01 team left in the tournament.
The team currently has players from Cy-Fair, Spring, Tomball, Katy, Rosenberg and Sealy areas. The Turn2 12u team practices twice a week at Memorial Ashford Softball Complex on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. They compete in 2 tournaments each month in the Houston Texas area. In July, this team will travel to a post season tournament in Florida (Panama City or Orlando) or an ASA National tournament.
