Telling a kid she needs a new glove?

I have a few 12's I bought for kids who started without a glove or showed up with a Jennie finch 11". If their glove is too small I give them one of mine, then usually they tell me they're getting a new one and I send their parents a couple suggestions via screenshot. We have a 32" CF team bat and if a kid shows up with an amethyst I tell them to try the CF and let them know they can always use it or grab my kid's lxt . The parent usually picks something up after that. I never tell the parent they need to buy something. We have spare gear for everyone.

Relacing a glove can bring it back to good shape. At 20% of the cost of new.
