Just making this statement up "because I ain't doing the research", but I'm not kidding when I say this. I bet the majority of slappers are out of the box 60%+ of the time on contact. That front foot is always moving out.

I have seen multiple times where the slapper steps into the box, calls time (hold her hand up) literally erases the box with her feet. Doesn't even try to be sneaky. And the ump says nothing. Any umps care to chime in?
