Purpose in playing Fall ball

How do college coaches look upon players they have committed that decide to take time off? Vacation here, wedding there, or a little nagging injury, etc.

My daughters’ college coach expected them to play during the summer and came to watch them at one showcase.

Their coach asked them to pickup with another team that had 3 girls on their college team on it so they could get to know each other.

My girls just turned 18, so they will play next summer too….most likely.

Some don’t mind taking the entire summer off before going to college, some want you to play at the highest level. Not so much P5, but D1 mid majors for sure. DDs coaches were at almost all of her summer tournaments FWIW.

First college practice tomorrow, in the fall they only get the players for 20 hours per week.

Fall ball is 100% to keep them off the soccer field.

It's not working...my daughter's playing both.
