For those of you who give hitting lessons ...what are your drills in progression for an hour session? I know it can possibly vary for each hitter....thanks

Heavy bat dry. Tee, side toss, front toss, angle toss. Short bat. I Always start with oppo on each, throw in some inside as we go.

less is more. I will attempt to fix one thing a lesson. It’s a process.

I’m surprised this question didn’t create some buzz.

I start with balance on and over the rear leg. No matter what hitting style you use, balance is at or near the top of the list. Most problems in the swing can be traced back to uncontrolled balance. The starting and sequence of other things might be more important down the road but without the control and balance from the rear leg it will fall apart or take longer to learn.

They say timing is the most important thing in hitting but timing with balance is better than just timing.

I'm not a hitting coach but I would adventure to say a lot is going to depend on where the player is at already.
