This appears identifying what to look for in development might be helpful. Or then again the results might be from the protective nature of parents over their children and wanting to see and believe their children are the best and doing great...
➡️ DFP what are your reasonings Behind These Results of the large consensus of parents (majority up to 50% /more below that margin) having realistic perspective?

I think many parents view a game on a macro level, e.g. the result of a play vs the actions leading up to the result. Part of that maybe that many of the finer details may escape them, even if they know their kid has been instructed in the details and they themselves have been made aware. Over the course of a single game that may make it difficult to discern how their kid compares to another kid (if we are talking about perspective) as the sample size of results is small and your SS/OF/2B/etc may make all the plays in a single game, just like the opposing SS/OF/2B/etc, even though the opposing player has better actions.

The other part might be to keep their sanity, especially at the younger levels where said actions are typically not very good and you know the difference 😂

September 1st of JR year is a humbling time for parents. Thought Oklahoma would call but it ended up being Oklahoma NE State University College of America with a walkon option
