Hmmm hopefully can propose this question in a fair and reasonable way...

What percentage of parents have a realistic perspective of their own child development in sports?

Example~ parents child/teen is supposed to be working on improving certain skill sets.
Examples:
Could be fielding work, stay down
or hitting step front foot
or pitching release point
or catching mechanics drop to knees
And 2 to 3 months go by with no improvement.
~How many parents actually notice their kid is not putting in the work to apply mechanic?

Putting in the work = applying what the coach is telling/showing them what to do.

🙂 of course parents responding to this poll may have an influenced perspective🙂

Just a topic Go DFP
Enjoy the day!

More than half, but not up to 3/4. So say 65%.
The ones that aren't realistic stick out like a sore thumb and consume your attention more than they should so it seems like a lot more.

Do this same poll with asking "What percentage of Coaches have a realistic prospective?"
Think might have to separate teams that are coached by a parent. Versus teams that are coached by a coach with no kid on the team 🤔🤷‍♀️

It depends on age. As they get older most have a pretty good grasp.
Would think that over the years watching their kid play they would get a grasp on it but people get pretty good at not taking responsibility for it either. Blame game and finger pointing comes to mind.

I still think most parents who thought there kids were going to Oklahoma at 12 realize by 16 they aren't. (most but not all)
