I often ask my daughter to play catch. It is one of those things that is special to me. Unfortunately, we haven't done that in over a year. My brother and I used to do it every day. My great niece is going to be a player and we have played catch. There is something magical about it. I don't know if any of you watched MLB Central this morning but they played a very special segment on a father who lost his son and playing catch. Please read:

I miss it. Neither kid lives home so I don’t have anyone to play with. My great nephew stopped playing ball. So I don’t have that opportunity either. It was a family tradition to play catch on Father’s Day. Which is funny since we played catch 3 times a week anyway. But it was a tradition as long as it was possible.

Lots of pollen suddenly in the air when I read that.

I used to play with DD almost every day when she was 9 and 10. We used to count how many we could make before ball hit. One day we hit 500 and for some reason stopped . We would still work on things after, but never just a straight catch. Totally miss those days.
