These guys did you a favor. The worse case scenario is you join the team THEN they throw this at you, forcing you to change your pitching to comply with their coach and his/her system. Be leery if the call you guys back, they may tell you what you wanna hear then force this down your throat afterwards.

That's exactly what I want to avoid. She's played for coaches that knew little about pitching and that presented an obstacle that at times hurt her development but playing for someone that has pitched and doesn't understand the dynamics of modern softball pitching could be exponentially worse. She's already got another offer from a team that won't be a long term solution but at least the coach is on the same page with her mechanics.

Keep in mind this happens A LOT with hitting mechanics.
Also catching mechanics.

Those are the do it there way coaches,
Vs
Coaches who look for success.

Are coaches supposed to help shape and mold players, sure.

But changing a player by deconstructing to reconstruct is not necessarily a needed scenario.

Find it bizarre when coaches
(even parents)
Get blind sided by the concept of
'lets change everything right now and this season will be the best!'
Hmmm... probly that season will have a learning curve figuring out everything new. Which additionally comes with breaking the already invested work in muscle memory, mechanics, adds to the struggle of changing.
( not just learning new, rather one thing will generally feel more comfortable and the other awkawrd)

Sometimes coaches like to have pet projects,
And some parents like their daughter getting the pet attention.

Best thing really is
Think it through befor taking giant leaps of change!!!
