Yes she does have good spin and seemed even better at 43 feet. If the batter hit the ball it was a foul or weak pop up. Her issue is speed which we continue to work on…

What speed is she throwing that you consider not so fast?

If she’s throwing a rise at 12u she must be fast not slow. Sounds like a good
day regardless.

Not that fast around 48-49 but her rise has such good spin that it produces a weak pop up or foul. We have been trying to switch from HE to IR over the last year or more so it’s a work in progress. Not as easy as everyone says…

Agreed. 3ft doesn’t seem like a lot, but can make all the difference in terms of breaking point for a drop ball or change up.

It's basically impossible to throw backspin without employing some IR. I like long toss for building velocity.
