I know someone told you it was from imbalance. Maybe. Maybe not. My dd has had a similar issue. Part due to poor mechanics - excessive retraction of the scap and partly due to lack of muscle work. Meaning not strengthening but loosening.
My dd does plenty of joint stability and arm strengthening exercises.
Look the get some myofascial release done, stretching passive and active progressive as well as adding in the strength Component of joint stability.
