Maybe, maybe not. I have ample evidence that "player need" trumps past parent behavior in many (most) cases...The kid might have to settle for a lesser team though..

True, I have seen teams add known problem families. Really makes me shake my head, but those plastic coach's trophies are pretty.

i witnessed a classic hissy quite couple years ago at a small tourney. Mom + Dad are arguing back and forth while DD is on bench. It appeared to my eye, that she was one of 3 that were on bench. Well, 3 inning came around, and coach went to send all 3 bench girls into the game..... However, Suzie was walking to parking lot with parents.

More and more parent drama on our middle school team. Doing the pattar thing is getting more and more tempting.
