Fall Youth Skills Camp
The Northern Illinois University Softball program will host its Fall Youth Skills Camp on Saturday, September 26th from 9:00am-1:00pm. The camp is geared towards individuals in 1st through 6th grade. The Fall Youth Skills Camp will be held on the campus of Northern Illinois University at Mary M. Bell Field (270 Stadium Drive East, DeKalb, IL 60115).
About the Camp:
The 2020 Fall Youth Skills Camp will focus on both defensive and offensive fundamentals to mold a solid all-around athlete. To kick-start the day, campers will receive hitting instruction, participate in offensive games as well as a Q&A with NIU student-athletes. Next, campers will be led through a throwing progression and receive position-specific instruction on infield, outfield, pitching or catching. Pitchers are required to bring their own catcher to catch them during the pitching portion of camp. This can be a parent, sibling, teammate, relative, etc., as long as it's someone not enrolled in the camp.

COVID-19 POLICY:
I/we acknowledge and agree that Northern Illinois University, including its camp participants, must comply with national, state, and local health guidelines and requirements, and the safety rules and precautions of Northern Illinois University, in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, which rules and precautions may be updated at any time. While acknowledging that these rules and precautions may or may not be effective in mitigating the spread of COVID-19, camp participants are required to comply with such rules and precautions which may include, but are not limited to, education and screening, testing recommendations, sanitization, and personal hygiene. I/we further acknowledge and agree that at any time the operations of the University may be affected and/or your camp may be impacted by the pandemic and its effects.
The NIU coaching staff and student-athletes will be wearing face coverings during the entirety of camp. Campers will be required to wear face coverings when within six feet of another camper. We will try our best to space people out and keep individuals six feet apart whenever possible.
