Well, that is certainly true, however, employing change up mechanics when throwing a fastball is going to result in a very very slow fastball.

Will put it this way~ there are hitters who are already successful who will go to college camps they are interested in playing for the college. And the college may ask them to change something in their hitting mechanic. ( during the camp visit)
If that player is truly interested in going to that college, they pretty much darn well better be able to try the new mechanic suggestion!

Also I am glad I didn’t have college camps when I played because I am not changing something unless they give me a damn good reason. If the coach could explain to me why it would help, then great. Otherwise I am not a sheep..I am not playing their little mind games. You have to earn my trust.
