Any chance you have any slow motion video that shows whether that's just a position that she's moving through or if that's what she maintains the entire time until release? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer...

She actually does a reload there and then the ball becomes more up/toward third prior to release. At brush she has great lag and of course throws a ton.

My daughter does the same thing, ball is facing out until the moment her hip starts to turn. That slight movement of her hip gets the ball facing more up.

I'll wager that she doesn't have as many pitches as the average 12yo discussed here.

In reality, pitchers like her make an otherwise fast-paced and interesting game very boring to watch.
