Anybody got any tips or drills for keeping the front shoulder down during the stride? Have done the PVC pipe across the chest dry drill stuff but need something a little more applicable. I’m assuming the front shoulder working up during the stride is a symptom of the back shoulder working under. DDs front shoulder drifts upward (not flying open) slightly during her stride.

Learn how to get ‘downhill’. Requires tilting of the pelvis aka negative move.
Gotcha Work! Have looked at some video and it drifts upward on high pitches. Not as pronounced on low pitches. Could just her adjusting. I’ll try to send the video.

Do you think standing a little taller in stance would help with getting downhill?

So the tilting of the pelvis during negative move would be a slight tilt forward (towards pitcher). She does a very subtle toe tap

Woodstock, man
Most kids (90%+) tilt their front hip upwards during the stride, instead of simply picking up their front knee, and turn the entire torso inwards.

So, do dry drills/strides, pick up front knee to hip height and land on soft, very bent front leg.

So Cal
Just guessing without video...Sounds like a sequence issue where she's starting to un-wind too early, and giving up her load before launch.

One thing is she is loading her upper half early e.g. before she moves out
