I have no problem with big travel ball orgs but since the brand has been diluted somewhat, you need to do your research on which teams in your DDs age group you want to be part of and which teams are more competitive than others. For example, the Firecrackers have over 100 teams nationally and I would say more than half of them are just daddy ball teams with the Firecrackers name. You really need to do your homework but if you choose wisely, being part of a big org will definitely open doors for many players. If you want to maximize your potential you need to surround yourself with talented players, coaches, and play in meaningful tournaments, showcases and friendlies. Some teams in the big orgs will give you that opportunity.
