This past weekend my DD found herself unexpectedly on the bench in an elimination game and was highly disappointed for many reasons. She got the chance to hit for a girl who was sick. She stepped up and sent a bomb over the fence. I'm so proud of her for her focus and resilience to be able to do that. Unfortunately, she was then taken out - but she made that one at bat count! I just had to share, these girls go through so much, it's a tough sport. I love celebrating those that keep getting up and going at it again and again.
