Clem, the best are executing there hitting plan ( approach) and not the pitchers plan.. It's all about the hitter taking control vs letting the pitcher dictate the AB until 2 strikes.

Agree with out a doubt the best are executing their hitting plan. So do you think there hitting plan includes starting at different times?

Yes, but hardly noticeable... If you're looking middle away the timing will dictate starting later.

Ok, so starting later, still sitting fast ball middle away (Because of the later timing) but more on time for an adjustment if off speed

Yea, it allows you to turn on the off-speed without much adjustment.. Fb in I would typically let it go for a strike unless 2 strikes.
