So my DD was playing in the Babe Ruth 10u softball tournament on 6/27 and the team went undefeated to the finals. She played uninspired softball all weekend striking out to slow pitchers and was down on herself.
The finals came down to the 6th and final inning. There was a runner on 3rd with 2 outs and my DD was at bat. She hit a shallow pop fly that was misplayed by the outfielder and she was able to get a game winning base hit to end the tournament.
I'm hoping this adds to her confidence as we move to the regional tournament this coming weekend in NJ. The mental part of this game is much tougher than I thought and I'll for sure be checking out that forum next.
