Framing in the regionals

I was watching Pittsburgh and California last night and the Pittsburgh Catcher was pulling balls into the strike zone (fairly obvious, I thought) and the blue was buying everything she was selling. one called strike 3 wasn't even in the zone after she pulled it in!

what's up with that? I thought umps were smarter than that and found that kind of "framing" insulting.

Catcher is obviously doing a good job, it's the Blue I question.
