By coiling around the rear leg and with the hips out in front of the back foot. Hanging out in front of the back foot. Creating leverage against the back side.

I also like how the back foot/knee are turned inward a little in the stance.

No the spine isn’t the axis. The axis is the back hip and hands have their axis. You coil under the head, but that doesn’t mean the spine is the axis.

Looks like this could be a good drill (haven't tried it yet) to feel the middle getting stretched while getting leveraged fyb.

Don’t think of it as ‘hanging’. Think of counter rotation to its EROM TO rotation to its EROM. With the legs stabilizing. Hips to torso to shoulders closed to open. They counter in order. They open in order. If that is right, the thought is ‘hands’. Rotation just happens. Force-filled rotation is after the hands have launched imo.
