Drop/Rise Posture

For a low/dropball the pitcher lands with the exact same 8 degree tilt, but "allows" the forward energy to take them to a posture nearer vertical....but not past vertical.

This is a really interesting insight. I had not heard of it conceived this way before, but this makes a lot of sense based on things that my kid does that seem to work.

You can have your DD do whatever she likes to force the balls direction lean forward lean back etc etc…. But that is exactly what she will be doing forcing the pitch and it’s hard to be consistent if your constantly forcing your pitches.

Rather, spend time creating spin in the direction you want the ball to break with your fingers. As your daughter begins to master that she will rely less on using her body to force direction and instead gain a feel and control for what the ball is doing…. It takes a lot of practice but in the long run it’s better. at least in my opinion
