@Hillhouse, I use the Tincher or Chinese bands right at the front edge of the plate. Not for my benefit but to show my pitchers, catchers, coaches and parents that catching a drop at the knees means the ball passed through the strike zone at mid thigh. Most often, I’ll break out the string when I’m told their drop is getting hit hard. 9 times out of 10, they realize they’ve been catching the ball way too high and not realizing how much higher the ball is in the zone.

I like that.

Wish our ump Saturday understood. Catcher was catching my DD's drop about 6-8 inches off the ground and he called them all balls/low.
