Excellent article.

Excellent hitters can be built by people who can’t speak the current lingo. Excellent hitters can be built by parents and coaches who might not have played high level bb or sb. Excellent hitters can be built without all the paralysis by analysis bs that mostly pleasures the critic on the bucket.

Lots of good stuff. I think you can use both internal cue and external cues. Internal cue I like now is engage your core/obliques every swing. External cue or task set is create line drives to targets. Set goals like 10 line drives in a row to the grass. Pressure goes as hitter gets closer to 10. Can they stay focused on the task? If the hitter hits a GB, ask them why that happened. Hitters should have a good understanding of their swing so they can self coach themselves.
