Does it ever just amaze you?

I never played organized softball; the only official organized thing I ever did growing up was run HS track. No one had a full set of equipment for any sport. In the neighborhood, our usual games were hide and go seek, tag, touch football and kick ball. I do remember playing baseball/softball with cousins a few times. One set of cousins had a bat and a ball and we used trees, shrubs, old junk, anything we could find that was somewhere near the right position for bases; another set of cousins had a bat and a ball, a couple of gloves and bases, which was a LOT of stuff. ;-)

I used to have to hand draw maps to give out to parents for the tournament locations.
