I think teams figured out Fouts by educated guessing on if she is going to throw her high fastball or her dropball and taking more pitches.

So teams/hitters cannot "figure out" spinners? Do they have a special magic decoder key that nobody else has?
No, they utilize a 3 wheeled pitching machine that can throw with a lot of movement. The old stick in the mud, know it all coaches don't believe in them.

Personally I think outside of OU the last few years, if you truly cruise at 70 and have a good rise you will be able to handle 3/4 of P5 hitters. How many kids actually cruise at 70 in D1 right now? I’ll give you Fouts. Faraimo? Anybody else?
I don't know if she cruises at 70, but Valerie Cagle from Clemson throws very hard.

When someone like Fouts gets "figured out" it has nothing to do with lack of movement on her pitches. Its usually opposing teams picking up on her habits and tendencies and making very good educated guesses about what pitch is coming and when. The elite level isn't all about elite athletic ability. They have elite study habits as well.

I don't know if she is regularly there, but I watched Mac Morgan, formerly of ASU now Texas, at a workout where she was consistently being clocked at 72. One could question the gun, but I can say for certain that her teammates wanted no part of her fastball that day.

Not that you made this claim, but does a 2.10 ERA in 190 IP at the highest levels of college softball count as being "figured out"?

Riddle me this boy wonder; what is her ERA excluding 2020? Her HR per inning is going up too. How about walks? Teams are figuring her out and adjusting because she lacks movement.

I'm not a "boy wonder," but I guess I can answer your questions:

Her career college ERA: 1.72.
Her ERA not counting 2020: 1.70

Or did you mean 2021, since 2020 was an abbreviated season? If you did, then the answer is 1.79.

Her HR/inning is going up? I've never seen HR/Inning cited anywhere ever. Not one time. But we could do HR/7, which is a normal way to display home runs allowed rate.

Career: 0.35
Not sure what you mean by "going up," exactly, but in 2021, her HR/7 was 0.43. In 2022, her HR.7 was 0.37. It went down from 2021 to 2022. I would not call that "going up," but her 21-22 HR/7 is higher than her 19-20 HR/7. It's still remarkably low. She essentially gives up 1 home run for every three complete games.

BB/7:
Career:
2019: 2.20
2020: 4.09
2021: 1.61
2022: 1.95

So, technically, her BB/9 did rise very slightly from '21 to '22 (.34 walks per game, which again amounts to 1 extra walk over the course of three complete games). But it's pretty clear she's improved her walks over her college career, and by a significant amount.

I can't find anything in the numbers to suggest anybody has figured her out. And if they have, that's resulted in teams still hitting well under .200 against her with virtually no power (something like a .259 SLG).

You asked for the numbers. It turns out that in every single case, your assumptions about Fouts were wrong. It really just sounds like you have some kind of weird personal thing against her for some reason.

Thanks for doing my assignment but I dropped the class. I figured the Professor had it out for me and wasn’t going to grade me fairly…
