Get the angle. And cover getting in front of the Dugout opening if there is one.
Much easier to score from second base than it is first base there should always be a defensive player backing up plays/throws.
This! In 10u, I'd like the catcher to drift up the line to prevent a strange bounce ending up in the dugout if dugout opening is less than halfway up the line to 1B.
Had a painful loss in 10u and another in 12u when 3B didn't think to be alert about the possibility of a bad throw going into the dugout.
