My DD is a 10U pitcher, and even I will say the strike zones can be ridiculous. There is no need to give the batters box for a strike zone. 10U pitchers these days have plenty of control, and if they can center punch the catcher 6" outside every time they can hit the corner. I must admit that most pitcher parents crack me up. They want the world when their DD is pitching, and the middle of the plate when their kid is hitting.

Had a parent get frustrated because the umpire was not giving their daughter the batters box, and asked me what I thought the strike zone should be. I told her even though my daughter pitches if I don't want it called when she is batting, I don't expect it to be called when she is pitching.
