Batting cage Carpet or artificial turf?

OK, So putting together a batting cage for my DD in my garage. Got about 30' to work with, She is a catcher so I don't need the distance for Pitching. I am considering Some recycled turf. But I see I can get a length of Carpet for much less. What are y'alls thoughts on carpet vs cheaper turf.
