I'm right here.
Can someone explain the situation or requirements when a dropped bat rolling and hitting a bunted ball is considered an out?

Thanks,
T

Do you mean, when the ball is fair and the dropped bat rolls into it? Yes, that is an out. It is not an out, if the ball rolls into a stopped bat.

To my recollection in baseball it's a judgement call by blue as to whether or not it was intentional. A bat on the ground is considered part of the field

I agree with Amy...

1. If bat rolls into ball, double hit - out.
2. If ball rolls into bat (not moving) - part of the field no call.
