Advanced Fastpitch Academy is looking for athletic and motivated B level players looking to train and develop the necessary skills to play A level ball for our 12U and 14U teams. We are looking for any position - all-around athletes primarily - as girls will learn the necessary skills and have the opportunity to play multiple positions. We are not looking to build an entire roster through tryouts - but are looking to complete our existing roster with 3-4 additional players. We will only keep 11 or 12 players.
We are looking for players that have the desire to train at a collegiate level in preparation for college ball both mentally and physically. These are the youngest teams that will be at the Academy and opportunities exist to move up with the team or for the older girls to advance to an established 16A team. Good families that are respectful of coaches and umpires and demonstrate proper fan behavior and support are a must.
Be a part of an organization with focus on fundamental development with professional paid coaching and NO daddy ball. All coaches must complete a clean comprehensive background check and must have ASA ACE level certifications and heads up concussion certification.
With dedicated indoor and outdoor facilities - focused clinics on base running, middle/corner infield play, outfield play, and hitting are all provided during winter training sessions. In addition, speed and agility training is also available. Multi-sport athletes are welcome (and encouraged) however during spring/summer softball season it is expected that softball is primary sport.
Our current indoor facilities are located @ 7380 W 162nd St, Overland Park, Ks. 66085. We practice there and outdoors at 191st and Nall (also location of new permanent indoor facility currently under construction). For both teams all tournaments planned for 2019/20 will be in K.C. metro area. This is a true academy focused on player development and following principles of transformational coaching and the IMPACT model. Players will all participate in BOLD (Brave on Life Decisions) program during winter training sessions.
