9 RBI Game

There was a lot of offense this past weekend. It seemed like everyone was hitting.

Oregon Ducks Freshman Gwen Svekis drove in a school record nine runs in the game to pace the Ducks. She hit a three-run homer in the first, smacked a two-RBI triple in the third and hit a grand slam in the Ducks' 12-run fifth.

Oregon’s 23 total runs also set the program record for most scores in a game.

Did anyone get to watch this game on the PAC12 Network?

I watched most of the first 2 innings while it was still a close game. DD has become a Ducks fan, and is always happy to see catchers hit bombs.

Nice day on the job for young Svekis.

We just got tix for Oregon vs. UCLA in April.

Svekis went to the HS my DD is probably going to... or will play against. As dangerous a batter as you are ever going to see. Our district is loaded with talent.

What is scary is that her batting % is higher at Oregon than it was in HS...although I guess it is only 40AB so far...

I did, crazy game.

I was proud of my DD's hitting coach's daughter who went yard against Oregon. Must be a thrill to see your kid play on TV and perform well....

I saw most of it. It has to screw with your head to put up 12 runs and lose.

Gwen has been hanging around a .500 avg all season. It was just a matter of time before she was a mainstay in the line up. Could not have happened to a better kid!

And yes St. Aquinas and surrounding area is full of talent.
