This question is or those who are familiar with the 2015 Louisville fastpitch bats and have bought or tried the 2016 plus models. How do the 2016 models with the zero friction double walls compare to the 2015 models as far as their performance goes?

I have no idea if it has anything to do with the "zero friction double walls" or not, but the 2016s are hotter than Firecrackers. They are hitting with our well-broken-in 2015s and 2014s right out of the wrapper. They're showing signs of getting better with use, as well.

The 2016 LXT seems to weigh about the same as the 2015 models (both are a bit heavier than the 2014). They are super-smooth and the girls love them.

The 2016 Xeno seems to weigh a bit less than the 2015 model (not much, about 0.1 - 0.3 oz), which is OK since the 2015s were a touch on the heavy side of sticker weight. They are as smooth as the LXT and seem to have a really big sweet spot .... bigger than the 2015.

I think you're fine with a 2015 or 2016 of either model. Both are great bats that I doubt you'd notice any differences in at the plate in real games. IMHO, they're the best bats currently being made.

How much does a bat compression tester cost? I think we should all chip in and buy one for Coresoftball20 so he can provide some "real" answers to these questions.....

JAD...funny you should write that. I talked to a guy that said he did bat compression testing on the CF8, LXT, and Mako. Out of the wrapper it was Cf8, LXT then the Mako. They stayed in that order after rolling but he said they were extremely close to each other. DD as everyone knows won't put down her Makos.
The guy rolled and shaves bats so who knows if he can be trusted

DD had a 2014 LXT, she loved that bat, sadly it broke.
She got a 2016 LXT as a warranty replacement and it looks really pretty in her bat bag but she hates it. She says it feels too light

Did you ever happen to weigh her 2014 on a postal scale and tell her the results?

If so, go weigh her 2016. I can almost guarantee you it will be right at 1/2 oz heavier than her 2014.

There will be a slight feel difference and like LAS said, the 16 will be a little lighter, But its not like the bat is
an ounce different or anything.

What size is the 2016? Why does it feel so much lighter?
