Daughter has been swinging Demarini CFs for 10 years. Drop 10 for the last 8 years. Can't go wrong, unless there are too many swings on it. You can definitely tell when it's dead.
I remember going to the local TeenTown as an 8th grader back in the 80s. The big excitement was when there was a VJ instead of a DJ. This video would always bring everyone running up to the screen to watch.
Depends on the schools SID(Sports Information Director). If the SID assigned to women's softball has other sports to cover, especially higher profile one's like basketball, etc...softball will usually suffer. I also think if the Head or Assistants can form a good relationship with the SID...
Since you are not local, I would look at the roster and see where the majority of the players are from. If their roster is local or relatively local, the coach will schedule practices as such. He may tell you it's ok to "make whatever practices you can make and we understand if you can't", but...

My DD participated in the very first one...and it was AND STILL IS one of her best softball experiences. I think tryouts will vary by region and coaches, but if you have the opportunity to go to OKC....TAKE IT! Good luck.

My DD always uses LizardSkins on her Demarini's. Surprised it hasn't worked for yours. We have received skins in the past that are old and dried out and don't work well. We just return and replace and never have a problem.
Experience is relative to the ability of the coach or player. If you are a crappy coach or player, experience doesn't make you better, it just makes you an experienced crappy coach or player.
This is another aspect of being a threat as a slapper that doesn't get worked or called. Staying in the box. I might even venture based on my experience, many slappers are almost always out of the box when they contact the ball. I could just never get the home plate umpire to call it. That's...
