Is this heavy on the instruction?? My girl is on the younger end and pretty green when it comes to softball. She is naturally talented though and doesn't stick out like a newbie, but don't want her to be overwhelmed, just instructed well.
I was fortunate to take my 10yo dd to our high school pitcher for $15/hour, but after a few lessons with lots of repetitive arm circles with weighted balls and hello elbow, I thought I better just work myself with her.
I haven't found anyone in our program that knows anything about I/R. Everything is hello elbow. My 10yo DD is not a great pitcher, but I want to teach her I/R and not having luck. Just wondered if there was anyone in the area to talk to. Thanks.
I agree with all of you, but I'm not the coach and they have tried to find other tourney's around. Most of these girls are moving up to 12" ball and 40' pitching next season anyway, guess they just have to transition a little faster than the rest. Our practice game last night went very well, we...
Just found out our 10U team has to play in the 12U division this weekend because of not enough 10U teams. Our girls, including my DD have to go back 5 ft and use the 12" balls. We tried it last night and it didn't work out well for our pitchers. We have another practice game tomorrow. I took my...
Very awesome detailed explanation BoardMember, but I'm confused about how closed KN's hips are at release. It seems this is how it should be to and the most natural, but pitching open is stressed so much. Plus, her other arm is swimming pretty bad. I guess not everybody does it perfectly, but...
I love hearing what others have to say because I am such a newbie at this, but what I notice is a weak leg follow through. She seems to have a lot of upper body strength though so work those legs in better and she'll get it.
I'll be interested in watching this thread and see her progress. My 10 year old dd just started working with a current high school pitcher (who does very well for herself), but she isn't teaching I/R. I'm confused as to what to do now.
