    BO

I think he's led the league in hits for a few years running now.

    15yo Addison

    Great work!!

    How bout them apples?

Just as someone mentioned, I definitely read it with a Boston accent

    Another year. Evie is 11.

A little May snapshot. Some focus on a better sequence of the upper half later, not being afraid of a load forward, fused, to create a more functional stretch. Chipping away at the abaf. I think as she gets stronger she may feel more capable with it. We've more discussed it than actually...

W can you explain the counter rotation forward? Is counter rotation forward coiling forward? Is it ending the core is doing the work forward?

    Another year. Evie is 11.

I'm not saying she isn't 'hiking and reaching' but she does have a focus of getting forward via getting around her rear leg, showing the pitcher her back back pocket and rear leg hamstrings. Certainly not excellent at committing and completing the stretch.

Thanks CB! She's worked hard to be as quick as possible..and the better stretch she gets the quicker/tighter the turn. Contact is not much of an issue with the velocity she has seen, but when she has trouble she gets armsy early, either maybe because of timing/rushed or maybe she has some feel...

You think it's an abaf situation? She's not in position to resist the forward move, and leaving some load and control on the table?

Been a minute. 2nd yr 12u incoming. Evie is still swinging, though we took way more time off than I liked. [emoji459] [emoji34][emoji1] A couple scrimmage swings from the weekend. The 1st clip was hit very well.

Players who play for their Parent who Coaches

I'll be in O'Fallon this weekend watching my youngest DD play! This fall is the 1st time I have had no part in coaching her, and it has been very enjoyable for us both. There was never any friction, she just moved on to an age appropriate team (she always played up with her older sister) that...

    Teaching the high level pattern

Sorry, he's an HLP instructor...not sure if he actually fashions himself as one though. Justin Gerardo is his name. He worked with my ds for a couple hours as he was passing through StL...I will say, no matter philosophy, he was incredibly patient and worked very well with him, I think he was 7...

    Teaching the high level pattern

Imo one of the benefits of HLP framework is the emphasis and training of the sudden [rearward] launch. My ds did some work with gritNJ when he was in town once and ds' takeaway was his hands fire "as fast as he can." It's ingrained. He's only 8 but his bat gets up to speed pretty well, though...

    Teaching the high level pattern

W, I am a fan of your dds swing, but I don't "see" the same feels in these two videos, I hope that doesn't sound too ludicrous. Having swung a bat alot over the years, albeit I'm just a dad, I see the feeling of different power here...and not because one is 6'7". Obviously my amateur reference...

I was happy to see her hover and stay in control in the game clip.

A few more swings this past week. Hit a few buckets working to have a consistent launch position (clouded by her attempts to go yard), and another feeder game where she focused on it as well...and found the left CF gap with nice rope. Some gains in stretch (getting better, consistent fyb) and...

Thanks Pattar. That pause irks me. I'd be OK if she would not let her load subside from that moment of toe touch to her launch, that moment also leads to the flattening I mention..though it could just be that she only swings at pitches up in the zone.

    Another year. Evie is 11.

For the first time, Evie has gotten to see some game action in the fall, a little mix of feeder and scrimmages. Her barrels seem to be much sharper, she actually seems to have a little bit of authority at contact now. I'm not exactly sure, but I guess it is a combination of being more...

It's been exactly a month, we finally picked up a bat again together. She hit a bit at tryouts but that's been it. I always have a nagging feeling to get her to swing, but the last 4-6 weeks basically off has been nice, and you know what, everything didn't fall off the rails[emoji38] I feel like...
