    Arm out early

My dd seems to be early with her arm when driving. I've included a Scarborough screen shot, but having compared her to several others on YT, she is generally around 3:00 when others are at 6:00-4:30. She pitches without a backswing. I'm wondering whether this is just an idiosyncrasy or a flaw...

    Hitting two handed fly balls

I have to confess that I'm a one-armed fly ball hitter. Whenever I try to hit two handed fly balls to players like the rest of the grownups, I invariably hit a sinking liner. Is there a trick to it?

Dipping glove shoulder and arm slot

DD is having difficulty with her arm slot. As her arm passes her hip from the back swing her hand can be six inches away from her body which means that when it's at 12 o'clock it's over her head. I guess it could be a chicken/egg situation but I think it's rooted in her glove shoulder dipping at...

    Tuff Toe Adhesive Alternative

I just got tuff toe off Ebay for DD's turf shoes and found that the adhesive had dried in the tube...must be really old. Anyway, the tube says it contains acetone and the instructions call for the glue to dry for twenty minutes before applying the actual tuff toe and heating with a blow dryer...

Winter is Coming: Furnished Basement Drills

With winter drawing nigh, my DDs (13 and 10) won't be able to practice outside. Does anyone have recommendations for drills in any facet of the game (fielding, hitting, pitching) they could work on in a smallish furnished basement? I'd love to hear people's thoughts on how/if kids can continue...

Looking for durable and affordable softballs for practice

I'm not sure if this is a silly question; I didn't find info in a forum search. Maybe they're mostly the same? I bought a batch from Dick's, though, and after batting practice with my girls they were deformed trash...and my girls aren't exactly mashers.

Info on Easton Pro Collection gloves, please

This 12" glove is on sale at cheap bats. I'm thinking of getting an infield glove for my DD who is 12 (13 in a little over a month) and has smallish hands, though she's able to command her Vinci 1961 well, but it's less than ideal for infield use. I guess my biggest concern is whether the finger...

Dilemma with coach teaching HE (OP update)

DD just joined our town's 12u travel "B" team. She decided she wants to give pitching a try, so through this forum I discovered IR, and am thoroughly convinced it is the best approach to release and follow through. I've been working with her on it in our basement and I think we've made some...

Another Glove Recommendation Request (12 year old) [update: narrowed the field]

Hello, I'm new to the forum but have been lurking for a while. I have two daughters, 12 and 8. The 12 year old, who actually got started later, is taking the sport pretty seriously and is showing some definite ability. Her current glove is a 12.5" Rawlings Highlight Youth glove. It has served...
