What about recording and showing athletes in slow motion? Is this possible with the mevo or go pro in the apps? Quick turn around? Other options? I’m currently using my phone and iPad with Hudl Technique but the app is no longer available so I’m researching different options, but also interested...
High school coach trying to get a player handbook together. I have some quality defensive diagrams from a handbook online but I’m looking for other club or travel examples to check out and maybe add to mine. Any out there?

Live and work in Phoenix as a high school teacher and softball coach. I want to be a better coach and help my athletes learn how to be better pitchers. Many of my girls only started playing softball in middle school on their school teams and only play during the school season. I’m looking for...
And ideas for tee drills for very new softball athletes. Need to work on fundamentals. Pictures, links and PDFs are greatly appreciated.

I’m a high school coach who has taken a big interest in developing m pitchers. My athletes are very new to the sport and almost all of them only started playing in middle school and many of them have never pitched before. Pitching is the name of the game, so it has become a large focus for me...
Okay. So I think I have a good plan going forward. We only have three coaches and 52 girls on a JVb, JV and Varsity team. Also only have the one field with not much surrounding grass.... Most of it is uneven gravel. Practice is from 3:35-6pm with a specialized practice from 6:05 to 7pm...
If you have read my last few posts, you will already know my situation. One field. Inner city school. We have three teams and just made cuts. We are a high school program that is really just beginning to build a program. We only really cut the girls that might be a danger to themselves by not...
this is great. As many ppl on here have said, I try to learn it first and then try to coach it. I will check this out.
Some of the other threads on here have dead links so it’s tough to see what they actually mean.
Thanks again.
My girls struggle to swing anything over 32inches. A majority are shorter than 5'5 and pretty weak in terms of strength. My hope is that the younger girls will use these bats and grow out of them and be able to swing 32 and larger.
I would imagine that there is a post for this... I’ve read a few... but I would like the most updated information and videos. All help is appreciated.
I am a high school softball coach and the biggest thing we struggle with year to year is not having pitching...at all. Many of our players have...
nope. Just one long field that is used by soccer during the “winter” here in Phoenix and then the baseball and softball are on opposite ends. We don’t have a football team so there is no football field.
Update*** to wrap the thread.
The biggest issue we face as a high school program is that we only have one field and we have three teams... Freshman, JV and Varsity. One of our main goals this year is to group the players into positions and have a rotating station based practice. We pretty much...
I totally agree with you. This money will be spent on items that will stay with the program. We already spent some district allocated funds ($9,000 this year and $6,000 last year) on buying Tanner tees, new helmets, new bats, new gloves and catching gear. It is a pretty new program and yes, many...
So we will definitely buy more softballs. We have a lot of limited flight synthetic cover balls that we use for batting practice, but we need more leather cover balls. As far as uniforms, the school provides these for both home and away with the girls buying their own pants and cleats. We have a...
