Good luck to Anna in her next phase of the game. My son is off at GCU playing ball and I miss watching him. The glove you recommended for my DD turned out to be a winner for her (Mizuno Global Elite). She never missed a beat. No errors in the outfield or second bas for the entire fall...
My daughter was hitting shots in the cage the other day with it but only used it a couple of times in last weekends tournament. The Xeno is 2 ounces heavier and more end loaded that what she's user to so she stuck with her current bat against the faster pitchers. We'll spend the off season...
It looks bulky and I think I would be bothered by the spring mechanism right behind the knee when in a deep squat. I think the little guys/girls have enough issues with gear size without adding more stuff for them to move around in.
We've always had good luck with the turf shoes and metal cleats from them over the years. No replacements were ever needed between DD and her older brother. With that said it's been a couple of years since we've tried anything from them.
Well this thread cost me some money this morning. My DD has been using someones old Demarini CFS-17 in a 31 inch -11 and wanted a new bat for her birthday so we picked up the Xeno 2019. How many swings will this thing need for break in? She plays in her last tournament of the season next weekend.
The palm area. Even with the relace the structure still wasn't stiff enough and the glove would flex. I was hoping the updated padding would make it more comfortable for my daughter to use also. I ended up getting this one that was talked about in another thread...
He used to be fairly active on the old Gloveworks forum, usually found in the Nokona subsection but that site seems to be no more. I think he helped put together a special run of Nokona's for forum members a few years ago so maybe someone at Nokona would have contact information for him.
Do you know when he sold the business? I'm trying to remember how long ago I had it done. The relace was fine but I would have liked a little better padding refurb.
The Grace Glove Company was started by the same guy out of Texas with a glove release/reconditioning business (Gloverelace.com). I sent an old glove off to him to replace and put in some additional padding.
It sounds like you had a great high school experience. Have fun with the college experience. We will see if our high school season ends tonight or lives to play another day. Our Saturday CCS game was postponed when the umpires failed to show up....
She loves it but she loves all new gear. We played some catch and after dinner I took the mallet to it and started working it over. I didn't put any of the Vinci conditioner I have on it. The leather doesn't feel like it needs anything. I'll let her warm up with it tomorrow morning at her...
She's currently in size 5 1/2 cleats. That glove is an old Rawlings Heart of the Hide Gold Glove I traded my college roommate for in 1987. He was a second baseman and thought it was too big. I used it in softball for close to 24 years before I went to a Vinci PC 2443. She pulled it out of...
Just ordered one but they do ding you on shipping ($20). For $100 it gets her something better than she has now and she can take her time looking around for something down the road. I am intrigued by the models that shift the finger position. Being that she's so small I think she'd have...
