I agree. We typically score errors as; glove touches and didn't finish the play on a routine play, anything in the 5 hole, throws in the dirt, throws that sail high/left/right and are uncatchable, dropped flyballs on a routine play, etc. Dives, laying out, etc are not error worthy.
A kid on my 12u team got one about 1 month ago. Pretty strong kid. Good bat velo. She's taken normal swings on it and the upper is starting to separate from the lower. Great looking bat, but it doesn't seem to have great stability.
We just played an NSA in NC. I intentionally walked the bases loaded because the timer was getting short. We were not required to pitch the BBs. I said "put the next two on". Ump told them to take their bases and we rolled.
General bunt coverage question. I have never been a fan of 1st base crashing on a bunt due to the extremely low likelihood that they are actually able to field the bunt. Even if a 1st baseman is able to field the ball, the likelihood that she is able to turn and make the throw in time to get...
At our middle and high school, the coaches will send you home if you have a travel jersey on. Some parents complained a few years ago that a coach was biased toward travel players and travel representation was squashed. You can imagine which type of parent complained; travel, rec...
I bought a GoPro 9 about a month ago. It's been horribly inconsistent in stability. Locking up and dropping the WIFI from my hotspot (within 30'). The Go Pro app is awful. Not stable and inconsistent in use. I am returning it and am getting the MEvo Start. Have a buddy that streams using...
Back in her day I'd bet they didn't have bats that could hit a homerun on a check swing either.
College coaches used to not look at girls who wore masks. However, my niece just graduated from a large D1 and about 1/3 of the girls wore them.
The game has changed.
White Brite. White Brite is available at any Wal-Mart for a couple of dollars and you'll get 3-4 washes out of the container. We have our DDs throw their pants in a Lowe's 5 gallon bucket. Put 1 cup per gallon of warm/hot water (a little more White Brite if the pants are REALLY bad). Let...
