    This pitching motion legal?

I was on bases for a game where pitcher pitched like this. I talked to my partner about it but he wasn’t aware of that rule so wouldn’t call it. I wasn’t in a position to see it enough to call it. After the game I told the coach that it was illegal and if I was behind the plate, I would call it...

    Coaches interference question

Yep, it’s not whether you move or don’t move. Were you in the way of the defender trying to make a play? If yes, then it’s interference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Infield Fly runner kept running - interference?

If nobody heard the infield fly call, why would anyone think the out at 3rd would be the 3rd out? That doesn’t add up. If the defense doesn’t know IFF was called, they don’t think the tag at 3rd was the 3rd out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Times games scores

Yes those runs count. Runs affect seeding, lack of runs affect seating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Pitcher hopping

My comment was not intended to be mean. If you are a parent or a fan don’t try to be part of the game. Cheer for your team/player and let the kids have fun. If your coach is any good, he feels the same way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Pitcher hopping

So you aren’t a coach? What you should do is sit in the stands and cheer for your team. Let the coaches coach, the kids play, and the umpires make the calls. No need to get involved where you don’t belong. The game would be so much better if parents/fans understood this. Sent from my iPhone...

    NFHS question

Thanks. This was a middle school game and was pretty obvious not on purpose. Your explanation is how I explained my ruling to the coach but I just wasn’t positive I was correct. Thanks for the help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    NFHS question

NFHS rules. Runner on 3rd, 2-1 count on batter. Batter swings and misses, catcher drops ball and batter takes off for 1st. (Only two strikes) Catcher throws to 1st and runner on 3rd runs home. Does run count? Batter was not intentionally deceiving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interference? Internet umpires whats your call?

On first look at the video without reading any comments I see a slide that happens to make contact with catcher but doesn’t appear malicious. Then, I see the catcher look down at runner and maliciously drive her knees into the runner while “going for the ball”. It was clear, intentional, and...

    Avoiding hit strike

Highlighted what for clarity? The catchers head? The catchers mitt? None of those matter. What was the ball path? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Batter Runner Interference

    3. It was a 3-2 count. If it was a close pitch the catcher was likely going for a strike em out/ throw em out. She wouldn’t wait for the call to be made before throwing. Nothing illegal about that at all. Too much unknown here. And as mentioned above, maybe the interference was call on the throw...

    Batter Runner Interference

As soon as you say R3 returns to 3B on the interference, I’m looking for an out if I’m the defensive coach. Can’t have interference without an out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Batter Runner Interference

Not sure that is the fairest thing to do either. Why return R3 to third? They likely would have scored on the throw to second anyway. There was only one out. Isn’t there an exception about the BR and the area in front of home plate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rare 4th out rule in MLB

Was the touch of 3rd base ruled inadvertent or can there no longer be a “live ball” appeal after there are 3 outs? I’m asking for my knowledge Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Batting out of order - what is the correct ruling?

IF A was the correct batter but B batted instead and walked then, on proper appeal, A would be called out and B would then bat again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kentucky vs Alburn

I’m relating it to a particular game because that particular game is the topic of this thread. Pretty simple answer. You made a very simple general statement about a subject not being discussed in this thread. You brought it here and felt it applied to this situation apparently. Don’t act like...

    Kentucky vs Alburn

You are the only person pointing out that it was a female ump. I watched the game and didn’t even remember that it was a female umpire. I don’t think anyone’s opinion of the calls would have changed had it been a male ump. Westwind certainly didn’t help make your point. The bad calls were bad...
