    Critique my kids swing!

Calling you an amateur is purely based off your analysis. Nothing personal. Kinda like your ‘hips turn hands drag’ mantra that you swear is right, even though every pro has said otherwise.. the back foot is different bc of timing and force input. Always has been always will be. You just haven’t...

    Critique my kids swing!

OP, Barry’s stance is great to mimic w the dry swings. This is what I mean by flexed. You’re very compact and ready to extend where and when needed. On another note watch the core elongate then contract 💥 money move. Partially from maintaining posture and partially from getting the foot...

Yeah we know you like linear pushing. Do you even know what you’re looking at? OMG Barry are you spinning?? lol amateur hour.. You should ask ‘why’ first 😆

    Critique my kids swing!

Trying to achieve a stretched core at foot down is the micro goal.. while timing a ball that doesn’t have a location yet. So being in a position of leverage/power into and through committal is the goal. I’ll post some examples of what is good. You can always compare your dd swing to great...

    Critique my kids swing!

She has no shift so I would study the propulsion portion of my last post. Getting locomotion vertically is the most consistent by far. Try to feel and understand it. Mimic the gif I posted. Ask questions if not sure.. Also Work off a tee down the middle. From different heights. Have her chest...

I’m w rolling hard. Learn how to load and stride and getting off the backside before swinging. She is stuck on her backside now. I teach to create flexion of the spine to move forward while maintaining posture or keeping the chest and hands up. It balances your body while on one leg mostly...

It’s prolly slow bc you got the slo-mo on? 😅 🤨 🤣 Jk. If you have the same video in real time it would be best. Also if you have pitcher/side view. Whatever you have..

    Nice post sir.

    Swinging behind the corner

Yeah sure. I’m not arguing w you. I want to know how you came up w this? I want you to support your theory. Can you? If not I’ll leave it alone. But to say things then not support just teases me. Do you follow any other gurus?a lot of them now agree w me. Funny how that works.. if you have...

    Swinging behind the corner

The hands are first. What else is launching? Why would you launch anything else? Uncoil? You mean creating space? Rotation is a result.

    Swinging behind the corner

Movements and launching are to different things. Are you sure you see those segments as ‘launching’ before the hands or are they moving/positioning themselves to attain the goal? Like I said the hands aren’t wet noodles.. they are way behind in space to the contact point.. you don’t think they...

Just Launch or Launch and Direct

The good ones all do it the same. The hands are directed first but aren’t launched until posture is adjusted. If posture doesn’t need to be adjusted then it’s just launch w the hands towards the ball. Direct-launch.

Just Launch or Launch and Direct

It’s real easy.. do you see the hands go before or after he adjusts posture? It’s direct then launch. If not these guys would be in the same position every time.

Just Launch or Launch and Direct

if your hands are behind your center then you’re using everything. If they are not or too far behind, you won’t. Edit: you teach them to create centripetal force. Sequence.
  15. W

    Swinging behind the corner

The hands are not wet noodles. What you’re trying to create is a pivot w centripetal force. You can only do that w the hands in control of what they’re doing. This is what the baseball swing looks like. The hands are the gps for the rest. The center is the midline and the hands are the can...

    Swinging behind the corner

The look of a swing is not mechanics. Creating the same forces to power a ‘machine’ would be mechanical.. and they all use centripetal force to do so. So there is perfect mechanics in a baseball swing.

    Swinging behind the corner

Among other things that no good MLB hitter ever did. I would say they have the same basic swing down pattern but Trout is inside-out and Bonds is direct. Of course they use the force vectors a bit different which makes other things seem farther from similar than closer. But same basic HOF pattern.

    Swinging behind the corner

I’ve shown that doesn’t happen. The barrel doesn’t accelerate until the hands come forward unless you’re swinging up. Is that HLP? Then again that doesn’t match Jr. So that’s prolly what you mean, right? You swing up to get deep whoosh, right? Only damn way physically possible Shawn! Stay in the...

    Swinging behind the corner

Remember it doesn’t match Shawn. That means it’s not what the best do. Read it again Shawn. And again and again.
